Chevrolet revealed the redesigned 2021 Chevrolet Colorado in October, ahead of the debut of the 2021 Colorado ZR2 at the 2019 SEMA Show. The Colorado ZR2, designed for the most rugged off-road performance, gets a super-tough new look to match its powerful performance.
The trim levels of the 2021 Colorado will have greater variation between them than in previous generations, according to Chevy, making the Colorado more versatile and able to meet the needs of a wider range of drivers.
The ZR2, along with the Z71, gets an exclusive new exterior color option called “Sand Dune Metallic,” a tan color that adds to the off-road-ready look of the ZR2. The ZR2 trim will also be the only Colorado to sport the newly designed Chevrolet front fascia, which features new lettering and a flowing style.
We don’t yet know for sure what the engine lineup will look like, but previous Colorado models have come with two inline-four engines and a 3.6-liter V6 engine at 308 horsepower.
We do know that the 2021 Colorado ZR2 will maintain the unique Multimatic™ DSSV position-sensitive dampers, plus a variety of off-road upgrades like rocker protection, an Autotrac® transfer case, a 2-inch suspension lift, and standard front and rear electronic locking differentials.
